Zach Top brought home his first Grammy Award over the weekend in the inaugural year of “Best Traditional Country Album.”
His newest and third record: “Ain’t in it for My Health” really shone a light on the dynamic ability of Zach. He shows off his range with ease from honky-tunes like “Guitar” and “Good Times & Tan Lines” to the heartbreaking “South of Sanity.”
Zach beat out a stacked nomination lineup including Charley Crockett, Lukas Nelson, Willie Nelson, and Margo Price in a brand new Grammy category. In typical Zach Top fashion, when accepting his award, the time between getting on stage to tipping his hat was less than a minute. A short and humble speech entirely on brand for Zach.
The new Traditional Country Album category is giving great opportunity for Texas, Red Dirt, and Americana to be recognized on a massive stage.
