Congratulations to Toby Keith and John Anderson along with James Burton who were selected for induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame.   The announcement was made Monday(3/18) by Brooks & Dunn in Nashville.

Toby Keith will be inducted posthumously in the Modern Era Artist category after sadly passing away February 5th.  John Anderson will be inducted in the Veterans Era Artist category and James Burton was selected in the Recording and/or Touring Musician category.

CMA CEO Sarah Trahern said that the organziation received word of Keith’s election to the Hall a few weeks after learning of his death.  “My heart sank knowing that we missed the chance to inform Toby while he was still with us,” Trahern said during the announcement, “but I have no doubt that he’s smiling down on us, knowing that he will always be as goo as he once was.”

They will be formally inducted in a ceremony this October at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville.
