After a year-long hiatus from local radio, the proud tradition of Corsicana Tigers football is back – this time with a new broadcast partner: The Ranch 106.9 FM. Known as the home of Texans, Outlaws, and Legends, The Ranch now adds the Tigers to its storied lineup, delivering a fresh Friday night football experience.

Last season, fans followed the action online via Corsicana ISD’s YouTube channel, @CorsicanaTigerFootball. This year, the familiar voices return: Rusty Hitt leads play-by-play, Richey Cutrer provides color commentary, and Chuck Williams reports from the sidelines – reuniting a broadcast team with over a decade of chemistry.

The Tigers kick off the regular season on Aug. 29 in Cleburne.

“We are thrilled to partner with The Ranch to bring Corsicana Tigers football back to the local airwaves,” said Stephanie Howell, Superintendent of schools. “The Ranch is synonymous with excellence and Texas pride – values that mirror our own athletic tradition. We believe this partnership will make Friday nights even more special for Corsicana.”

Though The Ranch has long called downtown Corsicana home, this marks its first season broadcasting Tigers football. The powerhouse Texas country station features popular on-air personalities Carey Dean and JoJo, host of the hit morning show and recent Texas Country Music Association On-Air Personalities of the Year winners.

Fans can also look forward to a new weekly show with Head Coach Eugene Rogers. Live game broadcasts will continue to stream on CISD’s YouTube channel, expanding access for the entire community.

In addition to local radio and YouTube, fans can tune in from anywhere in the world via The Ranch 106.9 FM’s interactive mobile app.

“We are excited to broadcast Tigers football to Corsicana and more than 800,000 available listeners within the 106.9 FM Ranch coverage area in Texas,” said Gerry Schlegel, President of Texas based LKCM Media Group and 106.9 The Ranch.   “Fans can tune in and catch all the action with the seasoned broadcast team who’s covered Corsicana for years, now delivered on the hometown FM radio station and anywhere on 106.9 The Ranch app.  We’re proud to partner with great people in the Corsicana ISD and be the home for Tigers football.”

Corsicana’s home opener is set for Sept. 5 at Community National Bank & Trust Stadium against Waco High. District play begins Sept. 29 at home versus Terrell, and the regular season wraps up Thursday, November 6 in Ennis.
